WE LOVE ANIMALS

Don't tell Tuffy I was snuggling this adorable mutt at our last Yappy Hour!  Zoe was quickly adopted from the PSPCA. This charming gal will forever be remembered as one of our favorite Yappy Hour guests.

At P.S. & Co., it's an understatement that we are obsessed with animals of all kinds!

We see animals as our housemates on Earth.

We hope to protect them, as they protect us.

Please let us know how we can be of service to your rescue organization!

GIVING BACK

Hiking with Shelter Dogs!

(In the past, we selected a different rescue each month to receive funds collected from single-use packaging sales.

For every order, there is a $0.50 charge for our to-go bag/utensils/straws/napkins. 100% of those charges are donated to the designated rescue of the month.  If you bring your own bag or do not need any to-go packaging, you may request a $0.50 refund on your bill (or generously donate to the cause.)

Starting April 1, 2023, we'll be donating our time, profits and resources to organizing hiking trips with shelter dogs in the Philadelphia area.  We want to help minimize that by being advocates for their dogs (and cats) and introduce them to potential adopters and fosters, while helping destress the dogs with exercise, fresh air and socialization.

We are open to guests joining us on scheduled hikes which are held two times a month and announced on Instagram and our newsletters.

We will bring P.S. & Co. treats and snacks for every volunteer who joins us on hikes!

Hope to see you join us!

Andrea & P.S. & Co.

New Leash on Life USA "is a new generation, non-profit prison dog-training program that saves the lives of shelter dogs at-risk of euthanasia and gives incarcerated participants a chance for redemption. Previously “unadoptable” shelter dogs, many at the brink of death, now find loving forever homes. Additionally, participants who have been in and out of prison most of their adult lives now have skills they can use to gain productive employment." After learning about this program many years ago, we're looking forward to finally being  able to help their efforts.

Total raised: $1,675.50.

April 2021

In honor of Easter, April donations were raised for the adorable and cherished bunny rescue, Luv-n-Bunns located outside of Philadelphia.  We first learned about this wonderful rescue when a former employee gushed about her newly adopted long-haired rabbit.

Total raised: $711.00 (enough to cover the surgeries of 14 bunnies).

February- March 2021

Almost exactly a year later, the cold stunned sea turtles of Texas' freakish ice storm inspired us to restart our donations again.  Our business may be barely surviving, but those beautiful turtles emboldened us to find a way to give back. Funds from the latter half of February-March will be donated to Sea Turtle, IncLong live the sage, peaceful sea turtles!  Our revenue may be 90% down from last year, but we're curious to see how much we can still raise.

Total raised: $599.60 (donated via Amazon wishlist).

(March 2020-March 2021

We were partially closed the first week of March, and then COVID closed us down.  No donations or rescue was determined.  We paused our donations as we navigated COVID restrictions and transitions.)

February 2020

ACCT  Philly Pen Pal- the effective Pen Pal volunteer program at ACCT (Animal Care and Control Team) of Philadelphia- is how I discovered my beloved Tuffy (aka Miss Tuff Tuff, Truffles, Monkey Poo, etc).  I am forever grateful to Tuffy's Pen Pal for getting her out there, so I could find the best friend I've ever known.

For the month of February, we raised $1,197.50 for the Pen Pal program.

January 2020

Wires Australian Wildlife Rescue Organization - during the Australian wildfires of 2020, those displaced koalas inspired us to start our single-use donation initiative.

Over the course of three weeks, we raised $810.95 for WIRES.
